1. Teachers are often much more mature (physically and emotionally) that fellow students.
2. Teachers are in a position of authority. I won't get into too many details here, but people are often very attracted to authority figures for a variety of reasons.
3. Teachers are intelligent. Intelligence is a very loveable quality.
4. Teachers stand out. When falling in love, one important component is standing out from the crowd, being special enough to fall in love with. Teachers have a built stick-out because they're separate from the class.
5. They're (usually) passionate about what they do. Seeing passion in someone else is very attractive.
6. Teachers listen. Most people are not good listeners, especially students. When teachers listen, it can make students feel special and finally understood.
7. Teachers are generally awesome people. O.k., maybe not all teachers, but as a general rule teachers are good people.
