Mad Rebecca Siawaa delivering her message on Reproductive health

The Reproductive Health Coordinators of Akwasiho Presby Basic Schools in the Kwahu East District, Ghana has entreated all adolescents to ensure that their reproductive health education is taken seriously.

"Being fastidious about matters of personal hygiene and sanitation brings about good health and eradication of diseases", Mad Rebecca said.

The Reproductive Health Coordinators on Wednesday 28th November, 2018 advised J.H.S students in the school to be aware of their reproductive health and issues related to it.

They advised female students to keep their body neatly especially during the period of menstruation and encouraged them to use sanitary pads rather than using other alternatives known to cause harm to their reproductive organ.

Both gender of the students were advised to depilate their pubic regions regularly to avoid attraction of infections and bad odour.

 Mrs. Mercy Brown also added that, students who engage themselves in lubricious and acts of prurience are likely to have a fall in their academic performance and girls will drop out of school when they become pregnant. Hence, she admonished them to abstain from premarital sexual relationships.

" Education is the key to success ", Mr. Augustine Dwamena also said. He made students realised that paying attention to their studies and making friends with their books would in the long run become beneficial to the student, the family, the community and the nation as well.

The coordinators therefore advised the students to live a chastity life and also show respect to the elderly in the community.
